I am seriously in shock at how beautiful my baby is. My flute which was stolen in 12th grade (in 1992 lol) looks the sameeeese as this one. Cost way more I’m sure too. The case etc. is just amazing.. I’m in total love.. I’ve since adjusted the screws which takes care of that windy sound.. amazing buy for mere dollars.

I am retired and just wanted to try to play the flute. I ordered this one and was quite satisfied with it. I watched videos on the internet about it and it was always highly rated by professional flutists. The only complaint was that the extremely high notes were not that good, but the raters noted that students cannot even hit these notes for the first couple of years anyway. All the reviewers noted that Eastar makes great student flutes and clarinets.

I bought Eastar EFL2 flute without hesitation because low price and open hole keys. I have played it for four months now and have a lot of fun. It is decent flute for the price-point. It is easy to play and has good intonation and response. Only minor plaint issues (become grey /faint? ) on two keys after using for about two months.

I bought this flute as a 2nd one, to keep "out" and use during those quick practice sessions between appointments and meetings. I clean my more expensive and "favorite" flute daily, but I feel fine about leaving this one out on its stand. The mouthpiece tends to tarnish easily but a dab of PRISM polish and a few wipes, and it's good as new. I've had this one for 6 weeks, and use it daily, and have no complaints.

I chose to buy this flute because apparently its rated really good for beginners. My one big complaint is that the description says hard case and the case is soft, but thats no big deal. There was a little bit of tarnishing on one of the keys but again, its cosmetic so its no big deal. Ill update this review once i know more about my instrument and how to play

I have been playing flute for years, and I am far beyond beginners level. I bought this flute as a stand-in while my original one is undergoing repairs which for some reason is expected to take over two months. This flute is excellent, and I would strongly recommend it. My only issue is the sections are very tight—almost too tight—requiring a little patience when fitting them together and adjusting them. To a lesser degree, the sound quality is not perfect though still surprisingly good. As purchasing a top-quality flute would cost considerably more than this one, this one is amazing and a steal at its price. (As a note for beginners: I cannot stress this enough—Learning to play this instrument is not easy—lessons are required. If you plan to learn on your own and fail, it is your fault, and not the fault of the instrument or its manufacturer.)

I loved the look and craftsmanship. Is a sturdy, well built flute in a fun color; however the sound quality isn't great. I played for 5 years a long while ago so I'm not in great shape; but I definitely found it challenging to produce a good quality sound and I needed to adjust rather significantly for tuning. Over all, this is a good student beginning flute, and the price is unbeatable!!

I lovee that I was able to buy 2 flutes for under ￡250. I want to teach my 9 year old granddaughter how to play. Both have wonderful tone and I didn't have to spend a lot on beginner flutes. The only reason I gave it a 4 star for craftsmanship is because it feels a little light and fragile. Otherwise great instrument!

I played the flute for 4 years before, but haven't played in years after high school. I wanted to rekindle with my music hobby so just decided to go with this. Everything looks great so far, it feels nice as well. The low notes sounds great, very full and lovely. The high notes struggle just a bit but if you adjust your embouchure, then it comes out pretty nice. I think it's wonderful for the price.

I wanted an inexpensive concert flute, for when I didn't want to take my good flute out with me. The cheery purple is a nice extra. It is light and I can't say how well it will cope with odd bump, but sturdy case comes included. Nice tone and it seems able to cover all 3 registers. Good buy for a learner or amateur like myself.

If you’re considering the Eastar flute in nickel, you may want to consider their silver. I purchased one in Nickel and one in Silver and was much happier over all with My silver one. You get a better sound out of the silver. Other than that the Nickel is also a great option and it worked well. I just prefer the silver sound.

It's a flute. I wanted a flute for fun, this delivers. You're not getting a ￡1000 flute, but you're not getting a toy either. I'm a trombonist in high school who just wanted to pick up the flute. It is shiny too. If you're a parent who doesn't know if your kid wants to play flute, this works fine. You will need a better flute if you decide to continue though. I got mine used for ￡69, and it was still pretty good.
