What's not to love about the Arena 2000? Thinking about the price, it's about the cost of 5 standard pedals, but it comes with 278 effects, estimating about 10-15 pedals' worth, amp modelling, cab modelling, a simple drum synth, looper, tuner and you can rearrange your chain and still have it authentically generate the signal path.
The expression pedal takes a little getting used to, but the calibration of the range and switch pressure helps. My only annoyance with the hardwareis that I really need to keep the touchpads locked most of the time, because they are so sensitive that going near then when turning an effects knob can switch screens. Not that you'd be doing that when playing, but it may make adjusting your presets a bit fiddly. Once your presets are saved, however, you can control everything from your foot switches -- if you remembered to set them.
There are a few oddball effects, but the vast majority model different pedal circuits, so you can have not just a delay, but one like that other pedal you have, a driver just like a pedal you've wanted. It's a good approach that recognises that a multi effects pedal should recognise that every pedal is different, not just use single effects.
I'm also happy that they've built this level of authenticity into the amp and cab modelling. I'm not one to go overboard with IRs, but I've tried a few and I'm happy with the results in tone.
With multiple inputs and outputs, this is a very flexible piece of equipment. I can practice on headphones with it, run it to an amp or record straight to my PC. That can't be overstated. It's not a cheap bit of kit, but it shouldn't be. I've saved money by not needing other equipment. I don't really need anything else between my guitar and computer or amp. There's room for me to add more, but that's how multifunction this effects pedal is, it covers my general needs.
Now, for my biggest annoyance. It needs better documentation. I have a hundred questions, and while the manual covers general use, it doesn't answer the specific questions. There's not even a list of the sample presets to make choosing the right one easier. Someone else on the internet has helpfully decoded the pseudonyms in the amp and cabs list, matching them to their real-life models, and I understand why Donner couldn't use the F or V names for the amp list, but there is still a lot that would be helpful to list. The biggest problem starting out has been puzzling my way through what presets I would use and what for, before I start modding them.
The pedal is amazing, I just need more information to use it to the fullest.

It has some good sounds, I'm still learning how to make my own presets. I got it mainly to use with my Donner Hush-1, but there is an annoying buzz when using them together, and it isn't because of nearby equipment. Once I get to the bottom of that, there'll be no stopping it!

I bought the arena2000 and it only came with 35 presets not the 50, is there something I can download to get them all? My unit says 35 but the control app for Mac says 50, I’ve tried the firmware update but nothing

I bought this to give myself a variation of sounds. I have a Marshall JMP1 and a Marshall JFX played through a marshal speaker so needles to say my sound is all Marshall which is great but I wanted a wee change. This unit fits the bill it has all the amps drives, cabinets and effects I'll ever need. Once you make a few minor adjustments to some of the pre sets and save them it's a fantastic unit. It's easy to navigate one you spend some time with it. After connecting my phone via the app and Bluetooth its easily controlled and adjusted with the phone. I would give it a 5 out of 5 , good sounds, well built and great value for money. If your looking for an affordable unit this is well worth the money.

A great inexpensive floor pedal that does a lot more than its price tag would suggest. Good sounds, versatile, easy to programme. All in all it’s great value for money and comparable with units three times the price.

Very impressive! Just what I needed! Very straightforward to use! Didn’t take me long to get a decent sound and play! Unlike many other multi effects that were simply fatiguing! The effects are excellent and the drum machine makes it a great songwriter! Nice one Donner! And the best bit……. The price!
Total No Brainer! Wipes the floor with many multi fx that cost 5 times as much! If you can’t get a good result with this pedal I’d suggest quit playing guitar! It has everything you need for the beginner and advanced player!

I got this for home rehearsals. Compact, functional, the settings are very simple. As for reliability, time will tell.

Not a bad Multieffect for begginers/intermediate or ocasional jams, and if you work out in the settings you can get nice settings for your sounds since you have a lot to choose from.

This modeller is very very good. Really nice models of amps. Well made and very reasonable price. I use this for late night practice. Very pleased with donner, very fast delivery to the U.K. The response of the guitar with this piece of equipment is very natural. Brilliant.
