Arrived quickly, great quality, good fun to play. I lowered the action and fitted Ernie ball 9's no drama. Can't believe how compact but usable it is. Playing through a positive grid Go makes it fun, as well as a 100W combo..!!!!
Purchased to take away on holiday when we take a winter break. Supplied with strap, bag, tuner, picks, headphones.
Super impressed and will consider other Donner products.
Andy W.
Excellent for holidays and travel. The action is too high and is going to need sorting when I get home.
Lee K.
Lovely, solid piece of kit. So easy to transport and it sounds great through my headphones. Really happy with my purchase!
Charles H.
It was delivered on time as promised and well packed, so there was no damage. Everything works great; the only problem (soluble) is that the action is about 1.5mm high for me. I like the input feature for backing tracks.
john p.
Very high action also a fair bit of fret buzz
Would not recommend it only useful as a practice tool
Warren H.
Guitar is exactly what I wanted, small & easy to handle in tight spaces. Packaged nicely. Will purchase some better headphones but overall happy customer.
Jim M.
So compact and quiet and I don't disturb my wife which is most important
Russell C.
Perfect size. Great quality

I lurked around this guitar for some time after seeing the far more expensive Yamaha version. I did a lot of research, as I’m not a “faddy” guitar player, however, you have to have some quirks in your guitar collection. Anyway, the reviews, both written and on YouTube, were more than favourable so I pulled the trigger. I have to say that the Hush 1 has absolutely fulfilled my expectations. It’s easy to assemble, has an easy tuning mechanism (although the purists may disagree), stays in tune and sounds absolutely like a pukka electro-acoustic guitar, which is what it is. I’m struggling to find any negatives if I’m honest, maybe not everyone would like its aesthetic, but don’t buy it if that’s a worry. I’d certainly recommend it.
Nuno P.
I’m quite surprised how good this guitar is. Ultra light, really easy to handle and play. The finish is amazing. Still trying it but so far all good.
Chris G.
My first impression was wow, this looks even better in the flesh. It feels solid, well built and sounds great. The carry case is strong and i feel that it’ll take good care of it as i travel around.
The action was too high on the nut and bridge, so a bit of setting up was initially required, and now it feels light and perfect for me.
It’s such a great instrument to sit and play around with, and the earphones create a new dimension. I’ve yet to try the input jack.
I have a couple of minor gripes, one is the need to have to screw in the frames. Although the too one pretty much holds itself in.
With the bottom one in, i struggle to get comfortable with it’s position on my knee as it puts the guitar too far back. For the meantime I’ve been playing it without the bottom frame. My plan is to drill a hole further back once it’s out of warranty.
Overall though, it’s a fabulous looking and sounding instrument and a great purchase which I’d recommend to anyone.
Ian V.
As an aging learner, the size, weight and portability of this guitar makes it ideal for lugging around to lessons.
I love the minimalist look and feel of the instrument.
Not wild about the tuning heads, as my Roadie tuner doesn't fit, so managed to snap the bottom E string when first tuning it up. Would have been good if it had a built in tuner, but the supplied tuner is a nice touch.
Teams up well with a Spark Go mini amp.
Not really a 'silent' guitar, well no more than a normal electric when unplugged.
Only seems to work with small in-ear headphones. Tried my larger over-the-ear type, but got not sound out.
Headphone socket is a little hard to get too with the metal game on, but sounds good through the supplied ear-buds.
Would have preferred the same kind of frame assembly as the HUSH-X, as not sure how much life is in the hex screw assembly on the HUSH-I.
All in all, I'm a fan, despite some very minor gripes.
Rob B.
Great, doesn’t take up too much space, comfortable to hold and sounds great.
Patrick F.
Delivered quickly and with no fuss.
Everything you need is in the box, and there is minimum set up.
And then it just works really well.
There are some clever design points - like the case step doubling up as a guitar strap.
Love it
Paul R.
Great guitar for practice without annoying the neighbours and you partner. Really like the neck and the action , feels like an Acoustic
Martin W.
Really quick service, love the guitar
Parmod K.
Very nice guitar

Just at the beginner level, bought this so I can take it away in our caravan, not ready to entertain the whole site. Takes a bit of use to get used to the size, but not long. Find it sounds good enough to practice without the headphones. With the headphones is really good especially playing along to something, being able to plug the phone into the guitar and merge both in headphones is really good. Size is brilliant for travelling, and yet everything is full size. For me, at my level, wanting a quiet travel guitar it is brilliant, very happy.
Keith N.
I've been playing guitars since I was 13 and now 72, I've had lots of guitars and must say I cannot belive how light it is and the action is incredible. This for me is a guitar way beyond the usual standard guitars today.
I gigged with it at the weekend and it didn't once drop out of tune and you don't know its around your neck.
I also have ukuleles from yourselves and again the instruments and service from you is great.
Many thanks for introducing me to this Hush-1.

I purchased this guitar for my husband.we had already prepared ourselves for the longggg wait till it's arrival...how wrong we were...four days after we ordered it; there it was sitting at my door with the delivery guy waiting to take a handover pic.The box had no bumps or tears and we thought things are going to easy lol but my husband opened the box and pulled out the guitar which was in a nice black bag it was really made well too as we're all the extra bits and bobs now came the best part he slowly opened the bag and there it was ..it was beautiful.could not find a fault or anything with the guitar.I have my own electric guitar but I'm just a new beginner and he won't let me near his guitars.he has gretch guitars..fender guitars.a steel guitar the same one mark knoffler played on money for nothing..and more.I still think mines is best.I have a gun that looks like a AK47 gun. Back to the silent guitar purchase. both of us would recommend buying this from Donner Music
I will be honest I was a bit. Wary of buying from. This company as I had never heard of them.but everything went so precise I'm happy to give five stars. Frances
Nadine P.
Great sound and innovative design, love it!
Also appreciate the skinnier neck, as normal guitars are a bit awkward for me so that's a plus as well!
Terence B.
I love my Donner Hush guitar it’s so light, portable and easy to play. I use mine in conjunction with a Spark 40 practice amp and for ultimate portability my Spark mini . This allows me to emulate different guitar tones and make my Hush sound like everything from a classic acoustic guitar to a blues/rock or even a heavy metal tone. It’s an ideal partnership of equipment.
Anthony H.
They are birthday treats for two of the grandsons.
They have shown a great interest in different style guitars. I thought these would be ideal for them as it will give them a different feel. I would recommend this to other guitarists.
Eric C.
A quick tune and it was good to go.
What can I say - wow this is an impressive guitar.
Solid, comfortable, great sounding.
The case and accessories are also great quality.
Worth every penny.
Just wish I had bought the deal with the pedal now :((
Malcolm D.
Im really enjoying playing this travel guitar. it is compact and easy to carry. Easily assembled and good build quality. I like the sound from the earphones it is genuinley well balanced. The sound via a mini amp is equally pleasant. I recomend as a practice guitar wether you travel or not.
N W.
Fast delivery of a great instrument! Required some slight adjustment to the neck, but now a great sounding low action neck guitar! Very high quality finish in all!
Paul B.
Sounds good. Quality good does what it says on the box happy with my product.
Jamie p.
I love my new guitar. It is so quiet which is a good thing as my walls are so thin in my house and putting in the headphones I can go off into my own world playing. The build quality is good and overall really good for the money.
Robert G.
Brilliant guitar looks good and sounds good
Howard R.
Better than expected!
Philip M.
Delivered in time. Product is as said it is.
William C.
I like the concept, the compactness and the sound. Minus points are the weight - it is unexpectedly heavy - and the neck profile is uncomfortable. Instead of a "C" profile it's more of a "D". The advertisements say the tuning key is retained with a magnet, but there is no magnet.
J. Mark B.
Since buying my Donner Hush-i, I have played more guitar than in the last ten years put together; patterned with a Spark GO amp, it makes the perfect duo for life in a flat ..
Bonney M.
The guitar absolutely sounds great but it has a minor defect in the jack input because sometimes it will not work that I need to re insert the input jack to the guitar to make it work. I don't know if Donner still has some after sales fix to this.
Ken C.
I bought this for my grandson. He’s eleven. We’ve had so much fun with it. He’s practicing his tunes from his school lessons, and made up a fab little riff of his own. Highly recommended.
Phillip H.
I can only say that I am really very impressed and happy with this guitar. It feels and plays like a dream. Sounds incredible too.
Peter W.
Shame its not for us lefties.....but swapped it over easy enough.
CHRISTOPHER W.
Good travel guitar, acoustic so action a little high and no option to lower. Tuning a little awkward but ok, great amplified tone. Metal inserts necessary but boring to detach and won’t fit in case if not taken apart. Great quality case. Overall very pleased for the price!
John D.
I bought this guitar as I like unusual instruments. I already have a Yamaha SLG and a Hohner G3T. I got it directly from Donner using a discount code and it cost me £219. This included a case, a strap and a tuner. Batteries were supplied for the guitar pre-amp and the tuner.
A small amount of assembly was needed in that the upper and lower frames needed to be fitted along with their end caps (if required). The screws and a suitable Allen key were in a small plastic bag in the case.
Tuning the guitar also requires the use of an Allen key as it is difficult to exert enough force on the tuner barrels using fingers alone even with the very light 10 gauge acoustic strings fitted. I changed these to 11 gauge as these are my preferred gauge.
The set up was pretty good as supplied. The nut slots were a little high so I corrected those. The action and neck relief were spot on and stayed the same after the change to thicker strings.
The fret ends are well finished but strangely they stop short of the edge of the fingerboard. The fingerboard is therefore wider than it needs to be and this is my only real complaint with the guitar.
The neck has a compound radius. Near the nut it is thicker on the bass string side but as you move up the neck it gradually changes so that at the upper end it is thicker on the treble string side. This felt strange at first but is no longer noticeable when playing.
In use it sounds like a very clean acoustic guitar. With the EQ set flat it sounds a little thin for my taste but there is enough adjustment in the EQ to tailor the sound as needed.
It is very light, it plays easily and, not surprisingly, draws a lot of attention.
I have found that the lower frame securing screw needs frequent retightening which means the screw us working it's way into the wood and this may need some attention in the future.
Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.
David Clive G.
Well, what a great piece of kit!
Really light, easy to set up and a marvel at the price
I normally play electric, so once I loaded a set of D'addario strings it is just perfect
Darren A.
Amazing guitar, great quality and looks. Very happy
Raymond G.
Great item for travel. nice sound and playability
Fabulous for the price
Gabriel I.
A surprisingly quality product! I was impressed from the moment I opened the box and noticed it to be well manufactured. Even the box was well designed with the guitar snugly protected.
Now, the guitar itself feels substantial for an "empty" frame like that. I find the keyboard a little too thick to play. The neck nut width seems comfortable to play on whatever scales I fancy. I find the frets are narrower than usual so if you have large hands and fingers....
I find the tuning mechanism too fiddly with the allen key provided. I believe it might efficiently lock the tuning in while travelling. Personall I find regular tuning pegs more responsive. (a bit picky on my part). I have not try it yet with an amplifier but I have customise it with stick-on MOP fret markers and it looks fantastic! I ordered the black one so it is easy to spot smudges, I urge Donner to quality check these more closely before despatch. I should order the naural colour or bursted one on hindsight.
With the metal bars attached to its body. I find it really sits on my lap well. GREAT! even the upper horn fits me down to a "T". What will they think of next? One criticism is the battery compartment should "mark" the polarity of the 9v battery clearly. It has none!!!
Overall, not a perfect heavenly music maker but great value for its money. I can see this an a travel companion for my cruising trips. For future development I suggest a micro speaker built-in? Hey-ho, what do I know?
Louis B.
Great guitar with a lovely sound for such a compact instrument
Tanumadhya D.
It's what it is, a funky little guitar I can transport easily..
Kevin F.
came really quickly , very compact and useable, will need to be set up a bit better to make it more playable , but happy with my purchase.
Karen D.
Daughter opened her Christmas present the donner hush i and was at first delighted. Looked beautiful. After a few hours playing it the high E string snapped and she noticed all strings except 1 buzzing even when she played gently. At £239 a pop, I would've expected better strings and don't see others mentioning excessive buzzing when playing. Have contacted Donner where I bought it from and no reply. Not the greatest customer service either. So disappointed as I was so excited to give her this present. Would love to have been in a position to sing Donner's praises but on this occasion I can't. Still waiting on a response from Donner.
kevin w.
so easy to play, got on with it great compared to an ordinary acustic guitar, you can play this one quietly or plug into an amp
James H.
Love it
Got it on offer - perfect little travel guitar
Paired it with a Park Go for the ultimate travel rig
Stephen S.
Have not yet had the pleasure of playing the guitar yet, as I bought it as a Christmas present for myself. but I have taken it out of the box to check its contents and the string action and tuning. All seems to be in order. The guitar and finish look excellent and I cannot wait to eventually play it come Christmas Day.
Peter F.
Just had to have this unusual but good locking guitar to add to the others I have. A Christmas present to me!
I am very pleased that I went ahead with the purchase as it is a fine instrument and at a reasonable price for it's quality.
George C.
Great practice guitar, you can play quietly without any battery fitted (save's on battery drain), place battery in then plug headphones in to 3.5 headphone output good sound with some Beats, or feed an amp directly from the 1/4 jack. I use it with GarageBand works a treat with a 1/4 jack line in preamp to usb c output port which connects directly to my Mac Mini M2.
Fretboard feels really smooth and i love the color and feel of the wood and the back of the fretboard.
Managed to buy this while the Black Friday deals were on (saved £50)
Douglas E.
Absolutely beautiful, first class. The service was first class and also the guitar is incredible out of this world. All my sons and grandsons love to have a play around on a guitar but was so impressed with this one. I hope they buy one for themselves. I am lucky that this is a Christmas present from my Wife
Excellent value for money
All round amazing. Thank you
Alan C.
Order came quickly, I bought it as a Christmas present, so haven't had chance to check it out yet. But loos amazing.
Andrew K.
Brilliant package. Bought this direct from Donner in Black Friday sale for upcoming 5 week trip. Great size for travel - excellent compact case plus tuner, strap & headphones included. Guitar was well set up out of the box and ready to play after quick tune up. A nice well thought out design and really good value for money. Perfect for my needs. Came very well packaged and delivered free within 24 hours of placing order. Highly recommended.
Bruce W.
Brilliant design as the size and case represents the size of a violin . This guitar once you add the bits is absolutely brilliant with sound and playability. Looking forward to my next holiday where I will taking it as hand luggage.
poornima r.
I bought this as it is lightweight and silent. Amazing sound and the options of having a travel guitar is just fabulous. I would recommend it . I am a beginner and I will increase to time spent practicing on this rather than my big guitar
Richard F.
Like how well it feels to play.
Rik J.
Hi Everyone.
I've had this guitar for about 3 weeks ish!.
I still think it's value for money .
Couple of little niggles!.
Having little screws which can be easily lost, and are a pain when fitting the wings.
2, not having anywhere to fix the tuner!
Better still having a tuner, as part of the electronics, whould make a very good guitar ace.
Overall: plays great sound good thru an amp,or headphones.
Great neck,& weight.
Take it anywhere.
For the money you can't go wrong.
Cheers Rik

As a novice trying to get better I have tried other platforms in the past including the Jamstik which I can confirm is garbage. The Donner Hush is the perfect travel guitar for me. some other professional reviewers have rated it in other ways but for me as a novice it’s a great guitar to learn on and once you plug in the headphones by Jesus this thing comes to life. Bravo fellas you have a great product here and I look forward to using it more and more going forward.
Paul D.
Brilliant package, quality product enjoying it so much
Colin J.
Great sound from the guitar , clear tone, surprisingly loud too, plays nicely straight out of the box, no issues.
Easy assembly, supplied with nice case, pleasant surprise with earphones, strap and tuner included, all in all a bit of a bargain for a good quality instrument and rapid delivery, thank you !
David H.
Arrived on time and in perfect condition.
The action was a bit high so adjusted it with the truss rod and now perfect for fast riffing and chords. All the kit is neat and very professional. It is excellent for carrying around and practising anywhere. Good sound from the headphones. So far very pleased and excellent price. Not tried yet with decent amplifier but no reason to doubt sound would be good.
Only downside are the instructions which don't mention truss rod but perhaps that is deliberate to avoid tampering by someone not conversant with guitar set ups.
James M.
Bought this for my grandson and he loves it
Devashish H.
Product is amazing
Terry S.
Fantastic piece of kit... Love it.. Plays great and beyond expectations.. Perfect thanks for making it.
Alan P.
The perfect travel guitar. Nice action out the box. Great value & very well thought out.
Brendan W.
Really good to play, though I’m left handed, but just put strings on backwards lol… works great, I’m having fun playing it…
Billy B.
As a guitar beginner I find the Hush-I fantastic.
John P.
Great idea, looks great, feels great and plays great through the headphones, though I use mine primarily through my Positive Grid Spark 40 watt amp combo.
Really is the perfect guitar solution for practising and does not take up any space.
A well engineered and constructed guitar and i love playing it.
Suggestion could you make a 4 string bass guitar too!!!???
Many thanks
John
Mike t.
WHY ARE YOU SELLING THIS ON FACEBOOK AT 10-20% OF THE PRICE I PAID TO YOU DIRECT ?
brian c.
I thought it came with an amp don't think it's worth the money on its own .
Yifan R.
Good delivery, excellent guitar, and supportive service.
J B.
I was impressed with the delivery, I ordered this guitar on a Sunday evening, and I was unpacking it on the Tuesday afternoon. One and a half working days, not the three to five as was suggested.
First impression was that it's well made, with an excellent finish, the fret ends have been rounded, and I found the asymmetrical neck very comfortable.
It's easy to fit the 'body' sides, but since I've had a Martin Backpacker in the past, I find it just as comfortable to use it with the strap, and leave the side pieces off.
I found it a little awkward to tune, but I should think I'll get used to it. Having said that, it stays in tune very well, so I won't be tuning it every day.
The headphones are the only ear buds I've found I can get along with, they are very comfortable, and they produce an excellent sound.
The sound of the guitar, either through the headphones or through an amplifier, is a much better clean acoustic sound than I was expecting, and it can produce some interesting tones using the gain and delay effects on my amp.
Overall I'd certainly recommend this guitar, both for travel and for quiet practice sessions.
My only (minor) complaint is that it's a tight fit to put the strap on the lower stud. This is because the end of the strap it rather thick, and I find it easier to use a strap from one of my other guitars.
Richard M.
Good product let down by poor delivery company waited in 2 days and was told they tried to deliver but no was in just ordered another product sat in all day now been told they tried to deliver but know one was in
Neil R.
Not sure what I was expecting, but by heck did It surprise me. Haven't been able to put it down since getting it. Perfect for practice and hopefully as part of a light weight gig rig. Highly recommended.
Oz M.
I’m going to be totally honest with you. I love the guitar. The build quality is amazing and the design is unique but I like it. However, the metal curved parts are a pain. I would have preferred them to b colour coordinated like black minor thing I know but that’s just me. My biggest issue is the way they are connected to body. Having to screw them in and off? Why not have a pressure fit or a simple clip. I can see me losing the screws very easily and the time it takes to set it up will be a put off to some people. The sound is amazing. And the tuning stability is fantastic. I already had Donner tuners and they are really great but I tunes the guitar in at the beginning and haven’t had a problem with it going out of tune. Price was fantastic too. I can’t believe it was so reasonable. Other headless guitars are double the price! Over all, I love the guitar. It has flaws but nothing that would make me give a negative impression of it.
Shabnam K.
Had a small problem. Donner very speedily sorted it out. I'm extremely impressed with the customer service. The silent guitar is phenomenal. You get a lot of guitar for the money. Can't complain. And I'm able to finally practice every day. So happy.
Scott C.
Beautiful looking guitar with an extremely clean tone and smooth action. The extras all high quality as well, would definitely recommend.
Daphne M.
Very happy with my purchase item was perfect and arrived on time would advise anyone to buy from this seller
gary l.
I'm not sure this would be great for gigging, I've not tried it on a big amp yet. I wanted a nice light guitar, which would encourage me to practice more whilst watching T.V. This guitar ticks all my boxes. Lovely and light, and looks great!!
Agostinho A.
This guitar is so handy and easy to play with headphones facility.
Laurence W.
Firstly, I ordered the guitar on a Wednesday afternoon and it was delivered by Friday. Very happy about that.
I love this guitar. It sounds amazing and I love the fact that I can plug earphones in and practice without disturbing my family while they're watching TV.
My only dislike is the strap that came with it. It's very difficult to strap the guitar. The holes in the strap don't fit on the guitar very well. But other than that, I'm very pleased.
Mr C.
Light weight, easy to set up, great balance, neck shape makes it easy to move up and down, great sound and just blatantly damn cool!!
Jason B.
I placed an order for this instrument and it arrived 3 or 4 days earlier than I expected. I am left handed but it was really easy to turn the nut and bridge around and restring it. The guitar itself is a really nice piece of gear and whether using it on a strap or using the 'wings' to rest it on your lap, this thing really delivers. Donner could've just provided the instrument at this price and it would've still be a deal, but to get the sustantial case, tuner, ear phones, picks and battery included really sweetened the deal and elevate Donner to a serious player in the musical instrument business.
steven c.
Very impressed with the guitar - looks and plays even better than the pictures: videos
James H.
Picked up the Hush as a practice guitar for a 40-something-old rocker who wants to finally learn how to play. It has been great and has allowed me to practice whilst hanging with the family - just watching TV, plugged into headphones when jamming in the office or even through my ancient Peavey amp when home alone. Still early days in my journey but this piece of kit is taking away most of my excuses not to practice. Now if it could only stop my fingers hurting as well!
Scott T.
Lovely bit of kit
Michael A.
I bought the hush as a travel guitar.
It’s is very compact and light and I just carried it on to the plane and put it on the overhead storage without any issues. It’s easy and quick to add the frames.
As a guitar first of all remember it is an acoustic guitar so don’t expect Stratocaster etc playability.
So my personal views are:
set up: the action is a bit high but other than that for me it’s ok.
Playability: the neck feels slightly narrower than an electric but playable (I use a capo in fret 2 to compensate where possible).
The strings are 12s I think so bends etc are difficult but easily fixed at some point.
Balance, perfect with the frames fitted and the top frame gives somewhere to rest your arm when finger picking, but the narrow neck makes picking possible but for me personally not as clean.
Sound: with the ear plugs and straight out of the headphone output, as an acoustic. Very pleasant sound. I use mine with the spark go amp so can get many different sound combinations.
Equipment: ear plugs and tuner good.
Am I glad I bought, yes.
Would I buy knowing what I know now, yes.
Would I recommend, as a travel and practice guitar, yes.
I hope this helps.
Sandra G.
Service was excellent. Guitar looks amazing. Can’t try it as it’s a present and I don’t play.
Daniel N.
The guitar arrived a lot quicker than I expected, which is a bonus. The guitar is beautifully crafted, easy to maintain, and sounds great through the earphones. Great product.
Matt B.
Great piece of kit fits in a suitcase no problem
Charles T.
Excellent, lovely sound, string action brilliant. Small gripes, strap button too short for thick strap ends, easily improved. Also better idea needed for fastening in the metal rails, suggest incorporating thumb screws which only screw out far enough to release the rails but do not come out , to save messing around with the easily lost screws and allen key when out and about. Other than that, love it.
Dave W.
I love this little guitar very versatile and really well made it was the practically that drew me to this great little practice guitar can now practise anywhere with no complaints and can even use my amp and my leggato mini amp with no problems.

This is a great product. On setting it up I started to play it and the sound is stunning but on the on first, second and third frets the strings vibrate and make a weared sound. I'm only a beginner so don't know what the problem is.
Can you help!
