A lot of guitar for the money. Lovely blue finish, locking tuners and a roasted neck. A nice weight and plays well. My only gripe is the neck is a bit skinny for my shovel hands but I'll perservere haha. The pickups have a solid range of tones. I would recommend this guitar.

It's so good, required a lot of setup work, like a very large amount but after I got it done it now plays beautifully and sounds so amazing

Very little set up required before gigging this one at the weekend with my band......with the amount of variation that the pickups can produce I was able to use it for most of the 3 hour set. Very happy with it and can thoroughly recommend the 550 to other players new and old.

I bought the Donner Jazz guitar and was impressed, and the DST550 looked decent specs so took a punt, played great from the box but I did some tinkering floating the trem, intonation. I've got guitars that sell for 2k or more and it's up there with them, no buzz, pick-ups sound great, as a base for mods it's disappointing because there's no need to change anything.

Loving it, it’s my first guitar only just learning, even with my very limited experience it sounds and feels great to play.

I like the look of the guitar, the bridge pickup is much better than I expected. Lovely sound. But the fretboard performance is rather poor. It has a sticky feeling and I can`t get rid of that, I polished the frets, I cleaned it with lemon oil but they didn`t help very much. Sorry, but it is not a very smooth fretboard.

Lovely guitar and excellent value. To get the best out of it you need to set it up correctly. Unfortunately the quality of the strings are poor and it had one dead string. Put a set of decent strings on it and you will not be disappointed.

Lovely guitar, perfectly set up and ready to go, which it did! My only observation is that I got in touch to ask what gauge the strings are so when I change them I won't upset the trem, but the answer I got made no sense (something about not having that accessory) Overall, a great experience.

Nice guitar

The guitar arrived quickly and was looked even better in person. Its a thing of beauty. The neck looks great and the frets are smooth. I am really pleased.

Never tried any Donner instruments and liked the look of the DST-550 which I wanted in black but it wasn't available in this colour so I chose the ice blue. This guitar is a lot of guitar for the price. It played relatively well out the box but after a little set up it was hard to put down. The neck is very comfortable and the roaster nspke looks fantastic. There was a little spur on the fret ends which needed a slight dressing. The tuners are pretty good and as they are locking tuners it holds its tune really well. The DST-550 is a very versatile instrument and I've found it covers numerous genres of music. The split coil switch is a very nice addition to an already great guitar. I liked this so much that I bought a Donner DJP-1000 just over a week later. Thank you Scott D

Hi The guitar is a work of art and looks beautiful. Now I understand why people hang their guitars on the wall. It was so easy to tune up and it came really quickly. I'm only just learning to play but so far so good. I really love the quality and finish of this guitar, the maple wood is like silk and I'm a perfectionist. Excellent guitar as good as if not better than a fender

Out of the box it looks great, beautiful color. Beautiful neck. The locking tuners feel smooth. The frets also feel great and make for easy bending.

My review will not be as technical as some others, as I am a true beginner, or at least a beginner to the electric guitar. I do play acoustic at least a mid-level, meaning that I can manage a reasonable progression of cords and I'm pretty good at finger picking. So my review will be more musical than electricallyEasy to play, very complete, looks amazing, sounds very good. Excellent price point choice oriented.

I’m not a guitar expert, but I got this guitar as a gift for my son, who already has both electric and acoustic guitars. What really caught my eye was its sleek and beautiful design, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it’s also a solid product that offers great value for the money. By the way, my son absolutely loves it, so I’m confident I made the right choice!
