Hi this is Sam. I’m a Seafarer. So here’s the story. It was some years ago, my first time at sea I was the lookout for the officer on watch. We used to tell stories to pass time most of the nights. This particular night he was telling me strange and scary stories of unusual sightings and ghosts at sea.
The vessel was proceeding to Anchorage area that night to drop anchor. The Bosun called the Ordinary seaman, OS in his cabin to come and assist him to prepare the anchor for use. It was A starry and moonlit night(around 1 am).
When the Bosun went forward anchor station, he saw someone already sitting there waiting for him so he assumed it was the OS. The Bosun told this person that he was going inside to take some coffee and return. Upon entering the accommodation, the Bosun saw thees OS and was surprised to find him inside that fast. To his shock the OS said he hadn’t even been outside. Who then was that person outside.
Before the Bosun and the real OS could reach the forward anchor station, the vessel collided with a yet to be identified object and anchor station was wrecked. They never found that person who was sitting at the forward anchor station. Was it an angel or a ghost?…

Many years ago I worked in a butchers shop, so had access to various bits of butchered animals. The fun we had using pig’s trotters as false hands with pig’s ears stuck in our work hats! My sister’s birthday is around Halloween so for her 21st I duly obtained a special present for her of a whole pig’s head, and carefully wrapped it nicely in a cardboard box with ribbons and bows. Her face was a picture when she opened it and let out a huge scream of horror seeing it smiling up at her!! I thought it was hilarious! Happy Halloween 🎃 🤪!

On Hallowe’en we’d put a Jack’o’lantern on a table with bags of sweets on next to the front door and below an open upstairs window. When the kids were getting their sweets my wife would let out a ‘blood curdling scream’ and I’d drop some netting onto the people below! Happy Hallowe’en!
