I only received this a week or so ago, but first impressions are good.
Construction is robust - not sure about the colour scheme though.
The drum sounds are really good quality, although I could have done without some of the Hip hop and metal ones in favour of some more suitable for ballads.
I intend to use this with a ukulele (!), but I need to familiarise myself with the looper section some more before I introduce it to my public!

Fantastic bit of kit. The drum sounds are more like samples than synth sounds and the rhythm patterns are really useable. For me this is going to be an invaluable bit of kit for practice and songwriting. Easy to use and fairly self explanatory. Solid build quality and at a really good price.

Online the Donner Circle Looper looked bigger. So, surprise no. 1 - it's quite small really. Not a problem - managed to fit it into an aluminium case with other pedals. After unboxing the pedal and setting it up (pretty easily) with the help of the supplied manual, the steep learning curve began. I was surprised at how intuitive it was and managed to get a modest amount of success within the first hour. The body of the looper is really sturdy and with some care, the knobs should survive reasonably well. I think it will become a very useful addition to my musical equipment especially as it has its onboard drummer. I love it and for what you get - it's not expensive.

I love this looper to death. With 40 individual save slots that dont go away when powered off, im constantly saving random ideas. The drummer portion is incredible and helps keep me on beat. I especially love that the drummer bpm and style saves with the loop. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a looper.

Packed with a lot of features for the money. So far has held up pretty well. Use the drum loops every day to practice on my bass and the looper function to listen and evaluate to my playing. Really good tool if you don't have an audio interface to play and record on the computer with.

Just got it today. Impressed with the features. Did some testing as where in the pedal chain to locate it. Putting after the distortion pedal and before amp, got some feedback. I ended up putting at the front of the chain and its better. Took me a while to figure out the directions for the firmware update. Whoever wrote that isn't good with technical writing. It needs to be clear and simple. I saw another post about the volume level and I must agree. When just playing the drum beats, even at the lowest volume level its loud. I think the scale needs to be redone. Surely that can be added in a firmware update. I want the drum beats, but I don't need it dominant in the signal. Volume level 1 should be at barely able to hear, then scale up. The next thing is there is no way to turn it off. No on switch. No off switch. Is it supposed to stay on all the time ? Or is there a way through a series of button presses to turn it off. I can only see unplugging it.

This is a pretty good looper! Also has a damn good drum machine in it. If this had reverse and half speed functions it would be the ultimate looper. But even without that it is pretty versatile and full of functions.

I love how real the drums sound...organic and not like a computer. Also, very easy to use and understand. Just watch a few Youtube videos and you can start recording right out of the box no instructions needed, it's that easy....not like the Trio band in a box where you have to read a paper back novel first.

This is fantastic. It’s easy to use and is very accurate. I just use the looping function. Over years I’ve used the Boss and Jamman versions but the Donner is very simple. Great to have stereo inputs and outputs. I recommend this!!

Easy to use and good quality. Easy to make perfect loops, BUT IT IS NOT TRUE BYPASS! This could be a big issue for some setups that require signal to run thru the pedal when it is not receiving power. Really a big oversight Donner! All their other pedals are true bypass.

I have or have had several looper systems with and without rhythm features. Some are so complex that each set up takes a long time and I stop using it. This unit has just enough to be useful without being cumbersome. Additionally, you can use the looper features without the drum beats, or you can use the drum beat without the looper to keep your timing regulated. The drum tones will not be useful for recording,, but it is a great practice aid. It seems solid and well built.

This equipment worked great for looping. Four minutes is a long time. And the 40 banks is fantastic. However, the editing software would not open for me, so I had to knock off a star. But then I returned the star after Donner worked with me to figure out why I couldn't figure it out. Was a communications deal. After three or four go-rounds on Messenger, I saw what I felt was the disconnect, and that turned out to be true. So hopefully they will update their instruction sheet to help people like me get to the point we can move files back and forth from the computer to the device with ease. It really is a quantum leap up from a looper that way.

Initially I was very impressed by the looper functions and sound quality. However the rhythm section sounded terrible, distorted and basically a real disappointment, until I turned down the volume to 6, from 20. I guess the default volume is maxed out and it is quite bad initially. After turning it down, it fit better in the mix with the guitar and had a much clearer sound. Bought during the Black Friday sale which made this pedal a real bargain. Its awesome for practice and putting ideas together, the rhythm / metronome options are pretty good, and I especially love the light up circle which massively helps visually in knowing where you are in the loop. Its the first looper pedal I've used but with the added features it makes it a lot of fun, easy to use and is very durable, with excellent build quality. Apart from the initial volume problem, I can fault it, haven't managed to use the usb and download recordings on a pc, nor the stereo channels, but look forward to exploring these added features more. Instructions could have been a lot worse and in all are pretty well written, managed to get going on it pretty quick.

Overall, I really think Donner did a great job with this looper. The only drawback I found was the device added a little noise to my signal, not nearly as bad as some of the the pedals I’ve had over the years, but still slightly noticeable. That being said, unless you’re willing to spend 2 to 3 times as much for a looper, I don’t think the Circle Looper can be topped.

At first, I couldn't get it to work properly because of power issues. I daisy'd off my TU-2 tuner, with 9v, 500ma. It should have worked, but had a drop in volume and bad buzzing. After I hooked up an isolated 9v 300ma power supply, it worked great. I run it through my effects chain (post amp) so that my amp channel switcher doesn't color its sound. Drums are fantastic for the price. They're generic "beat-keepers" with a little flare on some fills between measures. With 100+ variations and countless beats-per-minute time signatures, it will serve for everything I need. Be sure and push the "sync" (middle green) button to loop effectively. Another learning curve is that ending a loop with one pedal push starts a new layer of recording immediately. You have to push it twice to stop recording, if you just want to play along.

I specifically wanted it for the Blues tracks and I'm amazed at what this thing can do, especially because of how cheap it is compared to other loopers. one issue that I'm having is I can't figure out how to turn it off so I unplug it and that's a bit of a hassle but that might be me being an idiot lmao

This is great. I tried a couple of cheap-o loopers that were no good. I was about to give up on any loopers that aren't from a big brand, This one is really fun to work with and I agree with all the good reviews it's gotten. My only gripe is that you can't output the guitar and drum machine to 2 different outputs.

I’ve had a chance to play with this looper a bit and have to say, I like it a lot. Pretty easy to get started and lots of options for recording and saving. I mainly want to use it to just play with solos and practice with a beat, and for that it’s great. There have been other reviews that mention how the drums don’t record when you record a loop, so you have to remember (write down) which drum pattern and bpm in order to play again. And that IS a drawback keeping this unit from being a total five stars. (And also, if you don’t learn to hit that little synch button, there are some definite wtf moments with this pedal!) I think this is a great value though, and I’m super stoked to get to play with it more.

I have been playing bass for over 20 years and just started learning guitar. This pedal is great. I can plug the bass into the Left IN, Left OUT goes to the bass amp. I plug my guitar into the Right IN and Right OUT goes to the guitar amp. I can record a bass line and let it loop while I work on guitar riffs. I can add a rhythm guitar loop and work on a solo. The built-in drum/rhythm tracks are great as well.

Probably the best sub ￡100 stereo looper you can get at the moment. Good drums sounds, simple operation. I like that it has a count in option even when you’re overdubbing which some more expensive loopers don’t have. This makes the looper much more useful as a quick song writing/sketching tool. Hope they would make a multi track version of this soon:)

I was able to use this looper/drum machine right out of the box by following the simple instructions enclosed. The loops are easily recorded and saved. Overdubs are also very simple to do following the instructions. Not all drum patterns included are useful for me, but I believe there are enough options for every musician to choose from. Tempos can be adjusted according to ones needs. For ￡100 it is great. I believe this is the same one sold by Flamma at a higher price, but with a different enclosure. It is also cheaper than Joyo’s OMB. The program to download loops to the computer is tricky to find. I had to use google search (donner circle looper program) to find it, since the download website is not provided. Please, note that to make the program work you need to update the pedals firmware. The program includes a pdf document with instructions that are not very clear, but I was able to figure out in 5 minutes. The pedal itself feels solid, like all Donner pedals.

This looper is everything I'd hoped it would be. I'm not saying it's the biggest baddest looper out there, but it doesn't claim to be. For the great price, I don't know of anything better though. The various drum beats offer enough variety for me to play around with and as long as you know to use the sync button, it's easy to keep everything in time. I'm definitely happy with the number of memory slots you are given to store loops. Controls are not too complicated at all; this took me all of 5 minutes to figure everything out. Build quality feels good so I'm not expecting it will fall apart anytime soon if ever. There are apparently some functions you can take advantage of when connecting it to a computer but I have yet to explore any of that. Totally would recommend this to anyone, experienced looper or not.

Great pedal. I love how the pedal is spilt down the middle. Loop on the left. Drum tracks on the right. I really enjoy being able to adjust the bpm of the drum tracks. Honestly I feel that the drums could sound a tad better. But they work just fine. And there are ten different genres. The loop is great because it has a record and a stop button. Most loops require you to double stomp to stop.
