Chris J.
Great little pedal for the price and nice service.
Eric H.
Works great thank you
Ben Johnson
A very nice gate for the money, very durable and has enough room in it for the price. I wouldn't call it studio grade... but you could play live with it depending on the signal chain as well, it did pick up some noises until moved to spot #2 and much quieter. I would recommend as an intro or travel pedal especially.
Yuma Murata
All good value for money
Dezso Schwoy
Amazing noise canceling for the price.
Elliot Barham-Baines
An okay product, a neat little addition to your pedal collection and a good beginner noise killer.
Siyon Budhathoki
Arrived really quick and works great. Nothing else to say.
J Grange
Awesome! Works great!
Mat White
Best noise canceling pedal for the money...
Nicola Hallam
Bought this in preparation for purchasing a couple of Revv amps. I have a great deal of EMI in my house, and normally run an OD with a built in noisegate. This worked exactly as I'd hoped. Put in the effects loop, set to soft, and set the knob at -40. Done.
Ivan Petrovic
Can't go wrong for the valve of this pedal. Great pedal
Vasile Ciobanu
Does a great job as a noise gate, if you're looking to control your sound get this pedal. For the price its unbelievable, my friend had another noise gate from a different manufacturer at about the same price, his pedal was 1/4 of the pedal this thing is. He actually sent his other noise gate back an got this pedal to replace his.
Adam Lauder
Does its job well for home practice.
John Hickinbotham
Does what it says. Hard to beat for the money.
James Bobbett
Does what it should and is compact. Great product all around
Richard Goodwin
Does what it should. I didn’t give high marks for versatility because this isn’t meant to be versatile. It does one thing: kill noise in a guitar player’s signal chain. Place it AFTER Compression, Overdrive, Distortion, etc, but before Delay and Looper pedals and you’ll only hear the noise you want heard. ??
Danielle Secander
Excellent value for this pedals cost, well built, and takes up minimal space on my board.
agnese olina
For the price I paid it does all I need it to do. Sometimes has a noticeable effect on sustain when other pedals such a flange are in use. The knob is a little sensitive has to be turned just between noon and one o’clock to get the right amount of noise reduction without killing sustain…if it’s a hair too far it will kill all sustain. But I’ve gotten used to it and mainly only use it when overdrive pedals are kicked on while playing my Strat so I mainly set the knob accordingly for those pedals when I sound check and it really does a pretty nice job of killing the hum. Pretty good value for the money and seems sturdy.
Carl Sherratt
For the price it works great I use it for practice and club shows.
Emmanuel Mensah
Good for distortion
Mirela Varenic
Good probuct
John Broadhead
great little pedal that does what it's supposed to
Olga Karina Fernandez Pazmino
Great little pedal, cuts unnecessary noise and hum
Jeremy Goodman
Great noise cancellation for this mini pedal. I put this pedal right up there with the boss ns2. Perfect for my mini pedal board
Mandy Kent
Great noise cancelling, small size and under £50.
Luis Alberto Baron
Great noise gate . Solid casing , quality switches and knobs .
Katherine Taylor
Great value and quality!!! Works great!!! Highly recommend!!!
Marianne Petrou
Great value and noise cancellation. Would recommend.
Zaahir Rajabali
Great value for the price and nice and small so doesn’t take up too much space on my board.
Tamar Blythe
Great, inexpensive little pedal. I use it all the time and have always felt it was up to the job.
Robert Matthews
Had no idea the change in sound with a noise gate. 5 Stars!
Chris Read
I bought the noise gate and it was working fine. I saw a deal on an electro harmonics the silencer. Replaced the donner with the more expensive pedal. I immediately put the donner back in the chain. The other pedal had a noisy tail no matter what I did. The less expensive donner worked perfectly.
Steve Pope
I had used a Boss Noise Gate for 15 years. It seemed to be wearing out the last 2. So i decided to replace it but I didnt want to spend a lot. This pedal is smaller and seems to have more control over cutting the noise. I really love it. I keep it mostly on. I'm thinking this isn't the gate if you are gonna be turning it on and off and stomping on it with boots. Otherwise it is perfect for big live shows and doing its job.
Lauren Waterall
I have a great 5-string bass that has just a little bit of hum / buzz when on and not touching the strings. I read tons of reviews before settling on this pedal and I am extremely please with the choice. No need for anything more expensive. The adjustment controls are just right. Get this one, you won’t be sorry.
Harley Whiting
I have several fuzz and overdrive pedals that give horrible buzz when turned up but aren’t being used. This little guy does exactly what it says- it kills the noise as soon as the actual tone dies out. I usually have it on a quick noise kill but you can also have it fade. It is quite smart about respecting actual tones, it is in a very sturdy case, and is very affordable. I’m super happy about this pedal.
Barry Mee
I have used a Boss noise suppression in the past and this works just as good. It has 2 modes to cut off your attack. It’s built well and doesn’t feel cheap at all.
John Powell
I like the fact that it has options on how much noise gate you want
Crispin Digby-Clarke
I liked the price and needed a noise gate for my Blackstar amp. This filled the bill. Absolutely no complaints.
Mary Madden
I love this little pedal. Hide a lot of the little mistakes that are made while you’re playing. Allows you to focus on playing the right notes and I can still discouraged by the extra noise
Susan Davies
I needed a noise gate to prevent unwanted feedback during pauses. This pedal stays on 100% of the time. It does what it is supposed to and at fraction of the price for other noise gates. Build quality is excellent, highly recommend checking this out.
Alex Marshall
I needed a simple gate to kill thebhiss from my high gain amp(6505+ With a od boost pedal) This inexpensive lil gem works amazing well. Is super simple to calibrate. It comes in a boutique style box with foam padding surrounding it as well as foam padding protecting the dial switch. Very sturdy, its got some heft to it, and its basically plug and play. U dont have to learn all the dials like on the old boss gate (not that that ones bad) i like simple. But not cheap! Get one if ur in the need for one and see for urself. And to thinkni was looking at a gate for over 100
Dylan Errington
I play acoustic guitars through my rig, so eliminating noise when it appears is essential. I normally don't have to worry about noise, but depending on the venue, some environments just aren't all that ideal. This is a great tool to have when the need arises. Seems to be solidly built and feels like it will last. Gives you quite a few cutoffs using one knob. I don't need this pedal all the time, but it sure is great to have it if you need it.
Liam Willans
I was surprised at how smooth this is. Great bang for the buck on this. If you have a noisy OD or distortion pedal this is what you want.
Andrey Pivato
I’ve got a boost pedal that doesn’t seem to like any power plug I use with it it always has this eltric eeeeeee when not playing so I bought donner noise killer set it with pretty low setting and the horrible noise from my other pedal is gone so the donner noise pedal works perfect for me amazing
Michael Skipper
I’ve had great luck with all my Donner pedals. This pedal does a great job in keeping the hum to a minimum.
Nick Barnard
If you have a guitar with single coils you need a noise gate, especially if they're P90's and/or it's a tube amp. It's so nice to have the amp go dead quiet when you stop playing. Love it!
Brian Inglesfield
If you have background noise when you are at rest or between notes. You won’t believe how much this clears it up. I was nervous because price was so low but it is as good or better then the more expensive models Ive played. A must have for tone junkies looking to tighten sound!
Leanne Hawthorne
Im not sure how a more expensive noise killing guitar pedal would work better. It does exactly what i needed for my EVH 5150. The constant screech noise was eliminated completely. It is defined my pedal that gets the most use because it stays on at all times.
Lewis Matthews
In a pinch, this pedal is a good addition to my board.
Vishane Mendis
It does lower the noise from my noisy Stratocaster pickups, but I did have to turn the gate switch pretty far up to cancel any buzz from my distortion pedal. In summary, it does what it’s supposed to!
Trevor Beanland
It does what expected, for a great cost.
Peter Metcalfe
It does what it says.
paul peachey
it is a really good pedal, very useful for someone’s playing in a band????
william Bilsun
It just works. Dial it in and go play. Much better than a Behringer one I had and works effectively enough to not need a FX loop or any other more complex signal paths. Solid construction though the little knob is cheap and not held on too tightly.
Yara Derbas
It very small, works great. The sensitivity knob is of a nice size, so easy to dial in the cut iff points.
Ian Ellison
It was a gift and my son loved it!
Tim Peace
It's early days yet, but seems like a great little pedal!!
Lilou Bertel
Just like all my other Donner pedals, Donner P-bass, and Donner drum kit, this one is a winner. They're all great quality, especially for the price point. I added the switch caps though, those don't come with it, lol!
Ken Robertson
No problems; it does what it says.
Calin Slovineanu
Noise cancellation is excellent. Most value for your money. Worth the buy
jon hulse
Outstanding pedal, especially for the price. Completely takes care of the noise issues I was having coming out of my distortion and overdrive pedals.
Stephen Mckinstray
Overall its a good addition to any pedal system for someone looking for a little less background noise. Its also a very straightforward pedal which I personally appreciate. I play out of a 20w peavey vyper vip for amp reference so small disclaimer : I haven't actually used it at band or show level volumes
Paul Netherton
Pedal works great
Bartosz Jaszczyszyn
Placed at the end of of my pedal chain and it does a fantastic job!! Used my entire setup last night (07-Jan-2021) in a live performance at my church, plugged into their system, using a wireless transmitter from my pedal board to the mixer, and it worked exactly as it was designed.
Jonathan Evans
Purchased this for my son. He loves it! It was a great value.
Kareana Sayer
Really great for the value.
Joanna Dunderdale
Replaced a rack Mounted unit with this pedal Such a unbelievable value And great product
Michelle Cox
So easy to use just dial in the amount of threshold and you are good to go!
Vincenzo Iuliano
So, I watched a couple of video reviews on this here pedal, and came to the decision to add to my wish list. Wife got this for me, as a gift (Christmas), and I gotta say, for the price, this here thingy thing does the job. I do recommend it for any guitarist looking to contain that feed back noise that mite just be irritating you.
Antonio Lima
sounds good for the price. works like a more expensive noise gate.
Michel Brook
The Donner products do what they say they'll do, dialing them in is up to your taste. I love this because it silences as soon as my fingers are off the strings, but I spent a lot of time tweaking. Ymmv.
Eleanor Girdziusz
The Noise Killer is a solid little pedal for a great price. I run it on hard at about 12 o’clock after my gain pedals. It does it’s job.
Phil Harrington
The product did offer good noise canceling, I just wish I had a way to put it after the amp to cancel the amp noise not just the guitar noise.
Mr. Neil Porter
The value of this pedal makes it a no brainer. I stack multiple gain pedals in my signal chain and this baby takes all the feedback and noise away when not wanted. With the two different modes and the ability to dial it in, it doesn’t get much easier! Definitely recommend!
Melissa Watkinson
This is a great pedal. Just turn the dial to the right place and there is no more of that static sound.
Gary Tyson
This is a new type of device that i recently added to guitar pedal wrack and I must say, for the money this little pedal does exactly what it is design to do and that is eliminate hum and noise from your guitar pickups
David Foster
This is the 1st noise gate I've ever bought and it might be the last!. My house isn't grounded and I get some annoying hum from my bass amp. This pedal works great!. The only con is it does affect the sustain a little but not too much. It's a great value for the price!
STEFANO BERNARDI
This little pedal puts a stop to the annoying noise that bleeds through gains. Adjustable to cut at the frequency you want, and a toggle for allowing it to hard or soft kill the sound.
Kyle McQueen
This little pedal works great. It takes all the hum/noise away from my other pedals
Julie-anne Murphy
This pedal does an excellent job keeping unwanted noise without sacrificing sound.
Louise Sheraton
This pedal is easy to use and setup. Once you figure out where in the chain you need it, it completely does what it's supposed to do. Great pedal without the big name brand price. I definitely buy another one when or if I need one!
Wendy Gardner
This pedal tunes my guitar accurately which is just about all you can ask for out of a tuning pedal but the one major caveat is that the LED lights that indicate flat, in tune, or sharp are so bright they could be used to guide ships to land. Seriously, it’s so bright it’s hard to read the letters on the actual screen.
Debbie Jones
This sturdy little pedal came in a nice magnetically closable box with a quick but useful owner's guide and a couple cute Donner stickers (I believe all Rock 'n Roll goodies should come with a cool sticker! ;-). I play mostly hard rock and metal (a lot of that drop tuned D, Db, C and B). I was tired of getting almost instant feedback (in my setting - a small 12x14 room with a 40watt all tube Marshall DSL40). I don't like using the amp in Triode mode (reducing and cutting the output power in half). Needless to say, there was a lot of unwanted noise (and feedback) coming out constantly and almost instantly. Most of my 'effects' pedal plug straight into the front of the amp (first - last: Tremonti Dying Machine Way, Joyo Compressor, Tube Screamer Mini, and a Fulltone OCD distortion). I've patched this Donner Noise Killer along with my EarthQuacker Dispatch Master Delay/Reverb and volume attenuator pedals through the back FX Loop of the amp to get the most noise reduction without affecting the tone or the effects of the other pedals (besides which, this is a True Bypass pedal). As mentioned above, I use a JHS Little Black Amp Box 'Passive amp Attenuator' to cut back the overall volume output of the Marshall amp so I can turn up the Volumes to get into the sweet-spot of the amp itself without blowing my head or the roof off! Combined with the Donner Noise Killer pedal, these work perfectly to manage volumes and unwanted noises! The pedal has both a potentiometer Dial (ranges between -60 and +10db) and a Loud / Soft switch. I find it's happy place is switched into Soft mode (which Donner recommends for most playing styles in the leaflet/manual) and the Dial set just a tad below -40db. I had to play with this a bit to find the sweet spot where I still get sweet sustain and I'm able to kill the unwanted noises. As Donner designed, it's easy to adjust and I was jamming within a couple of minutes. There's just a little "pop" when stomping the the ON/OFF button that is audible through the amp. It's not terrible however. Besides, it on all the time now anyway. Not a concern... The difference in my setup/setting is like night and day concerning the ambient noise that's "killed" as well as the amount of feedback I cut out with this little guy! With it turned off, there's a definite buzzing noise coming out of the the amp. With it on, it's completely gone! With this on and set as described above, the amount of unwanted feedback is pretty much cut out while playing as well. Now there's plenty of time to palm-mute and turn down the guitar volume between songs. There maybe a better Noise Killer on the market. You might have a buy a few to find it. You'll probably be paying 3x the price as well and it'll be, more than likely, more cumbersome to dial it in. What's left to say? I'm satisfied with this well built Donner Noise Killer. Buy it! I bet it works for you they way it working for me.
Alan Robertson
This works really well for canceling the 60 cycle hum from a set of P90s. I haven’t tried it after some overdrive pedals but I imagine it’ll work great for that too!
Joanne Burns
Very effective and easy to use. A simple threshold dial and hard or soft cutoff. I used to use a Tomsline ANG-1 noise gate but this Donner is more effective and easier to use. It uses very little pedal board space too. I recommend it!
Aynsley Gaughan
Very pleased with this pedal, it does exactly what it should, canceling the buzz from high gain distortion. Easy to use, easy to adjust.
Nada Asenova
Very surprised how good this gate worked. Switch for fast or slow response.
Kelly Monk
What can I say? It does it’s job well! I bought this to use with our bass at church and it works perfectly! No more buzzing between songs! The build is nice and sturdy since it’s in a metallic enclosure. Highly recommend, especially at this price!
Lee Watson
When you build a pedal board for your setup, and you already have several pedals already, and you need something to handle those noisy sounds, and be small enough to fit the board, you get this. Majorly easy to setup and forget it, and it works great, and of course, the price is easy on the wallet.
Mandy Savill
Works as advertised. It kills the noise for sure. Very happy with this pedal. There's a sweetspot you get when you dial in just right. Otherwise, it kills too much signal. But overall absolutely wonderful for the price.
Makenzi Veasey
Works as its supposed to. It got rid of the humming noise from the guitar.
Levi Attley
Works best in-front of all the other guitar pedals on the signal path.
robin Gerard
Works great but it's my first noise filter but it works
Sadia Bhatti
Works great! Can’t believe it’s so inexpensive!
Tam Rankin
Works great! I needed one for a noisy ES335 clone. It does just what it supposed to do as a noise gate and at an affordable price.
Marta Bankurso
Works to reduce the humming sound on a guitar amplifier.
Izak Pover
Works well for the price
rose murphy
works well, be careful not to bump the knob if youre on stage though.
