I bought this for my 6 year old who has just started playing the Piano. I too will be returning to the keys. What I will say is that I am very impressed by the sound and the feel of the keys. I have previously owned an electronic piano and I stopped playing because I did not like the feel of the keys or the sound. The sound from this thing is almost identical to a piano and the feel of the keys is likewise. If you closed your eyes and played to me it feels like and sounds like a reasonable wooden upright piano.

My Donner DEP-20 arrived sooner than anticipated, delivered in perfect condition. Assembly was easy and I was soon tinkling away trying to remember old tunes from a very long time ago. I'm no maestro but it was wonderful. The key weighting, sound quality and choice of voices is just amazing. Honestly, for the money you could not do better. And if you wanted to go 'portable' that's pretty much easy to do once you remove a few screws - easy to pop onto a foldaway stand if space if tight for you. So looking forward to getting back to the piano with an instrument that provides quality and enough choice of sounds if you want to conjure up your 80's synth days! Besides the standard 'grand piano' which is fabulous. Buy one now. And they didn't even pay me to say that.

The DEP-20 is good value for the money; obviously only time will tell if that is very good value, or not. If purchased in the UK/Europe it does come with a standard 2 year warranty, so that's some peace of mind, presuming the warranty is worthwhile.
Considering it's a digital "piano", the main piano voice could be better, I would have happily gone without most of the 230-odd available voices if it meant a better piano, but what's there is above average.
The keys are perfectly weighted for me, but may be too heavy for some. I'm not personally bothered about drum sounds and the plethora of instruments and rhythms, but to be fair, I have used the soft touch function for scale practice and the recording function is welcome. It basically offers beginners more than enough to sample.
I had an issue with my purchase, but Donner did resolve it with little fuss. The service was a bit slow, likely due to time zone/language differences, but Donner ensured a good outcome.
Overall a very good bit of kit, not great, but then the price isn't high. If Donner set out to make a decent beginners piano at a relatively low price, they've succeeded. I just hope my DEP-20 is still going strong in years to come.

We ordered a Donner DEP-20 Portable Keyboard 88-Key Weighted with Stand for our 8-year-old. The product so far has met our expectations (built quality and sound). He is still learning all its functions, but it was easy to set up. The only reason why I haven't given 5 stars is that their delivery service provider (Yodel) is awful. We struggled to get timely updates, and they hardly attempted to deliver our product on time. There was a week's delay despite the product sitting in their local warehouse. We had little/no help from Yodel/Donner on this either, and Donner contacted us after it was resolved. We had to make numerous calls to Yodel, but it didn't help much. I hope they choose a good delivery partner to manage customer expectations well. There were no apologies from either party.

I love my new keyboard and duet stool. I sold my big black upright that had been mine for 81 years and was too big for my now much smaller room. The replacements are much more in proportion to the size of the room and so much more attractive and will not require tuning twice a year. At nearly 92 I am all for an easier life. I thought I would give up playing altogether but I do not want to and the Donner just fits into my life so well so huge thanks. My good friend put it together for me, taking time but not a difficult job at all.

I have not played for 25 years and I find the keys a little heavy but that’s ok I just have to get used to it . I use head phones and the sound is is very good I enjoy playing it very much . One small criticism the manual doesn’t explain the way to use the buttons ie tempo etc very well .

I am a complete beginner at the Piano, in my 70's and was looking for one in the sweet spot between children's toys and a proper instrument. It is very early days but so far so good. In doing my research prior to purchase I was influenced by the many positive reviews on Amazon. I originally wanted just the keyboard but they were sold out so bought one with a stand. The keyboard is good, the stand is I think too low for most Europeans, legs are a tight fit under the keyboard. I have no teacher but am finding the Piano Marvel teaching app really good. I was inspired to start learning after watching Brendan Kavanagh and others doing Blues and Boogie Woogie on station pianos in London on Youtube. One Day!

Arrived safe and sound really quickly and we are very pleased with the keyboard/piano. It looks great, doesn't take up too much space and sounds brilliant. Excellent for our kids to practice on. Only issue we have is the screws were missing to fit the pedals to the stand; have been in contact with Donner and sent photos but still no screws. We have used some we had at home to "get over" this as we couldn't assemble the item without them .... however the ones we had are silver so don't look brilliant. See photo!

Bought a few months ago for a Christmas present. I absolutely love it. Real piano feel and the tones are excellent especially the default grand piano. Admittedly trying to find a rhythm that suits the music I am playing is difficult but that is due to my inability not the piano as that has so many different rhythms.
I would highly recommend this electric piano.

I'm a very basic amateur and occasional pianist so was realistic about what to expect as a replacement for my beloved Broadwood baby grand, necessitated by down-sizing. The Donner is far, far better than I expected with a realistic piano keyboard feel, excellent sound in 'grand piano' mode and acceptable, if much less so, in harpsichord mode. Like any synthesiser it's capable of doing all sorts of things, including 'gunshot mode' in D minor! I haven't and probably won't use many of its features, but the breadth of modes, sound effects, 3 pedals, and options like adjustable metronome, will come in useful. The sound from the speakers is excellent and it's as neat and small as can be.
To me the biggest defects are that instructions on using it are extremely basic, there is no way of accessing all of its many functions save scrolling through them one by one. Even a list of its functions and modes would be helpful!

Generally good. I think the power switch and volume slider look and feel a bit cheap. On occasion the software has locked up, so that I cannot change voices etc after certain operations, can only seem to be solved by switching on and off - not sure whether there is a software update or not

Bought for my daughter, as she is learning piano and studying for her grade 2 exam. Piano arrived without notification that it was on its way, and the courier left it outside by my dustbin, in the pouring rain!! Luckily not damage was done
Unpacked the piano, built the stand, plugged it all in and to be fair, the actual piano was very nice and sounded great. The only downside was the sustain pedal did not work…. Which was one of the reasons I bought this, as my daughter needs to use the pedal for her exam!! Donners reply after I informed them was that they would send a replacement pedal, but it could take up to 4 weeks as it’s coming from china ! Or I could have a partial refund….. no suggestion of replacing the whole thing. But as I’d built the stand already, I thought I’d wait for the replacement pedal to be sent. Just hope that works and it’s not the actual piano that has the fault. Just disappointed that a brand new product was faulty, straight out of the box !!
But as I said, the piano keys and sound are great, so hopefully this is a rare thing that has happened and anyone thinking of buying this model, will not have the same experience as me !!

I was going to buy the DEP-10 but decided on the DEP-20 instead. I absolutely LOVE the thing to bits! It has a very authentic sound and has the keyboard feel of a real piano. On top of that, it has some great extra sounds and drum patterns, of which I am still to master, but if you are in the market for a piano, I would MORE than recommend the DEP-20.

There is an issue with the monitor. The monitor only shows correctly when first selecting the type of instrument, but was not updated to reflect the change, when I change to use other instruments.
The speakers' sound quality is not good.
The stand is not heavy enough or may say that it is not standing firmly on the floor. When playing, the keyboard sometimes moves slightly.
The weighted keyboard is okay.
I am giving 3 stars to show the overall score, although with the above problems, as I considered that the price was not too high.

I purchased this item 8 days ago, the keys were not working correctly, top G upwards were all on constant sustain mode, despite several chasing emails and ultimately angry emails, all I got were empty apologies, but with no solutions, I had to chase again and again until they replied, never have they come up with a solution or replacement, I have now demanded a refund...but still not had a reply yet
